Daniel Williams is Director and Principal Environmental Consultant at Regenr8 with over 15 years’ experience in developing, executing and monitoring environmental projects, particularly biodiversity impacts and offsetting projects. With a strong background in biodiversity assessment and management he has been successful in designing and managing large-scale environmental projects for GHD, Greening Australia NSW and Queensland NPWS.

Daniel is an accredited Biodiversity Assessment Methodology (BAM) and BioBanking Assessor by the NSW Government and has extensive experience in the application both methodologies to both development and conservation lands.  Daniel has considerable project experience associated with large-scale urban development, infrastructure, mining and conservation projects and has developed strong working relationships with local, state and federal government agencies associated with this industry.

Our projects

 

1. Fernhill Estate – BioBanking | Angas Securities | Mulgoa | 2011-ongoing

Daniel is Project Manager for the development approvals and BioBanking assessments associated with this heritage property. To date five BioBanking agreement assessments (now referred to as stewardship site agreement assessments) have been completed covering a combined area of over 450 ha which is one of the largest combined biobank site in Western Sydney. Regenr8 has worked closely with our client to seek biodiversity credit sales on the open market. Works completed by Regenr8 include:

  • Credit pricing options and target market analysis
  • Biodiversity credit portfolio valuations
  • Negotiation of biodiversity credit sales and facilitation of credit transfers and associated forms
  • Completion of applications for credit supply and sales tenders

 

 

2. Glenmore Park – BioBanking | Holicombe Pty Ltd | Mulgoa | 2017-ongoing

Regenr8 has been working with our client to seek biodiversity credits sales from the Mulgoa and Mulgoa East biobank sites (now referred to as stewardship sites). These biobanking sites have provided a range of ecosystem and species credits from the the Cumberland Plain to the 'open market'. Working with our client, Regenr8 has been able to facilitate the sale of over 1,100 ecosystem credits from these sites for a range of purchasers. Works completed by Regenr8 include:

  • Credit pricing options and target market analysis
  • Identifying credit 'buyers' from our network of development contacts
  • Negotiation of biodiversity credit sales and facilitation of credit transfers and associated forms
  • Completion of tender applications for credit sales to NSW Government Agencies and the Biodiversity Conservation Trust (BCT)
