Property & feasibility studies

Regenr8 understands the difficulties associated with making decisions regarding whether to place property under biodiversity stewardship agreements without an understanding of the potential value, returns and market opportunities. In fact, making such decisions without such knowledge would be considered a risk. With this in mind, Regenr8 always encourage our clients to complete an initial Property Feasibility Study. These assessments provide out clients with the following:

  • An initial understanding of the type and number of ecosystems credits that may be generated at the stewardship site
  • The potential value of these credits when sold on the open market. Our strong knowledge of the biodiversity markets, trading dynamics and history enables Regenr8 to provide such information in regions we operate.
  • Rehabilitation and management direction including estimates of costs associated with entering into a stewardship site.
  • Potential species credit opportunities
  • Return estimates and cash flow considerations

Regenr8 uses existing information, site analysis and our experience to provide these assessments with efficiency. Each client receives a report detailing the potential biodiversity values of their site, management objectives and cost implications, a clear understanding of the economics of entering into a stewardship agreement and an understanding of the market and sales opportunities. Armed with this information, landowners can make decisions regarding the feasibility of entering the biodiversity market with confidence.

Regenr8 understands placing land under conservation in perpetuity as well as the costs associated with completing necessary assessments are big decisions for landowners. The information we provide at this early stage can greatly assist these decisions.
